Southeast Geometry Seminar

The Southeast Geometry Seminar is a series of semiannual one-day events focusing on geometric analysis. These events are hosted in rotation by the following institutions:

  • The University of Alabama at Birmingham
  • The Georgia Institute of Technology
  • Emory University
  • The University of Tennessee Knoxville

This event will be held on April 10, 2011 at Emory University

Registration: This event is free but registration is requested in order to provide organizers adequate information for participant accommodations. Please contact the Emory University organizer

Program: The following five speakers will give presentations on topics that include geometric analysis, and related fields, such as partial differential equations, general relativity, and geometric topology.

  • Boris Rubin, Funk, Cosine, and Radon Transforms on Matrix Spaces and Grassmannians
  • Joseph Fu, Algebraic integral geometry
  • Paul Yang, TBA
  • Robert Gulliver, Flow of Hypersurfaces by Curvatures in Riemannian Manifolds
