Further you may find this presentation useful: Overview of PhD Programs. See also our annual publication ProofReader for a glimpse into the life of the School of Math. Below is specific information about the admissions process. We look forward to receiving your application!
Funding Sources and General Information
All PhD students in the School of Math receive a tuition waiver as well as funding in the form of a Teaching Assistantship (or equivalent) or Research Assistantship, so prospective PhD students do not need to separately apply for funding from the School of Math. For Fall 2024, the stipend for PhD students will be roughly $35,500 for 12 months.
For more information on demographics, admissions, and time-to-degree for doctoral students in our program, go to Doctoral Student Statistics. Enter the search criteria for any of the School of Math's doctoral programs there.
Additional information about Graduate Assistantships, fellowships, loans, and off-campus employment options is available on the Office of Graduate Studies site.
Our PhD graduates pursue a variety of careers in academia and industry. We maintain a list of PhD alumni and their post-graduation employment at our PhD Alumni page.
For MS students, we are currently unable to provide tuition waivers or funding of any kind.

Virtually all students admitted to our PhD programs are offered full financial support including tuition waivers and stipends in the forms of teaching or research assistantships. Several Institute-wide fellowships are also available to PhD students. Masters students, however, very rarely receive financial support.
